The California Department of Education is an organization inside the Government of California that regulates state funded schooling.

The division regulates subsidizing and testing, and considers neighborhood instructive organizations responsible for understudy accomplishment. Its expressed mission is to give authority, help, oversight, and assets (through instructing and showing material) so every Californian approaches a well-rounded schooling.

The State Board of Education is the administering and strategy making body, and the State Superintendent of Public Instruction is the objective (initially hardliner) chosen leader. The Superintendent fills in as the state's central representative for state funded schools, gives training strategy and course to nearby school regions, and sits as an ex officio individual from administering sheets of the state's advanced education framework that are generally autonomous of the office.
