San Francisco Bay Conservation and Development Commission

The San Francisco Bay Conservation and Development Commission (BCDC) is a California State commission committed to the security, upgrade and dependable utilization of the San Francisco Bay. The Commission was made by California's McAteer-Petris Act, which the assembly passed on September 17, 1965. The enactment was advanced by the Bay Area Council, a neighborhood business association. It is the primary territorial government element made for a metropolitan territory by administrative activity. The Save San Francisco Bay Association was begun by residents insulted by the sensational loss of the straight through barriers and landfills just as contamination.
